The Pelsue 2730-12A aluminum manhole shield uses a pneumatic seal instead of clamps or sealing compounds - inflate the internal tube and the shield forms a water-tight seal against the manhole opening, no tools required. This reversible model fits both 27" and 30" communications manhole openings, at a 12" height.

This combination includes the 2760 Pel Protector, a lightweight molded fiberglass screen that mounts directly on the shield to protect workers below from falling objects and debris, without blocking ventilation or emergency escape routes. Strong enough to support the weight of an average adult, it installs and removes in seconds with no tools required.
